For this topic i would talk about and research the major changes in media from the first computer to the ipad and the ever growing new media of the 21st century.
I would include the names of the important inventors and possibly create a timeline (as i already done for this module) which would give me an advantage as i already researched into this topic.
The definition of new media: A broad term in media studies that emerged in the latter part of the 20th century that refers to on-demand access to content any time, anywhere, on any digital device, as well as interactive user feedback, creative participation and community formation around the media content.
The reason i chose this topic as one of my choices is because the evolution of media technology is open to alot of research and would enable me to talk about technology from over 100 years ago till now. This is useful because media technology is forever expanding and developing and it is a subject i am quite aware about therefore it would allow me to write enough information
As i have been researching, i came across a website 'http://www.cedmagic.com/history/' where i found a pictorial history of media technology. It is a timeline of all media technology in picture format rather than text which i found very useful and found information that i had never seen before such as the 'Phonograph'
As well as this, i found another website which had information in more depth such as 'The word Robot was introduced' and 'Telivision studios being built in London' which could be incorporated into the work that i produce..
I would include definitions as well as images of technology that has been created and improved over years..for example; first computer, tv, computer, mobile phone, tablet device etc..
